This event was altered from a sit down dinner to an upbeat trendy cocktail party just 7 days before the event. To add atmosphere to the night a chef appeared in the middle of the stage welcoming party guest to the floor to try some of his delicious seafood banquet served on white mommie linen covered 2.4m trestles. Bar tables were strategically placed, then wrapped in dark red cloths with ceramic candle centre pieces. Scattered café tables with red tea light candles and black padded seating provided a casual place for guests to chat. Stage lighting was used to create the party atmosphere with an African band ramping things up as the night continued. A fully staffed bar place to the edge of the stage draped in black linen ensured no guest went thirsty. Finger food continued to be served throughout the evening ending in a finger food dessert buffet. Hot food both savoury & sweet was first served to guests then placed in chafing dishes on the centre buffet table. The glassware was continuously collected and replenished throughout the evening. Upstairs additional catering equipment was required including BBQ’s, hot boxes, electric ovens, bench top bain maries and gas burners. As you can see from the images a great time was had by all and even with the last minute format change everything went smoothly.
